Senator (Prof.) Oserheimen Osunbor Commissions Hon. Pius Alile Water Projects in Market Communities
Senator (Prof.) Oserheimen Osunbor commissioned water boreholes donated by Hon. Pius Alile, a foremost philanthropist at the Wood Market, Oluku, Ovia North East Local Government Area; Benin/Hausa Tomatoes Market, Upper Mission, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area; and Cattle Market, Eyaen, Uhunmwode Local Government Area.
Commending Hon. Pius Alile for providing the various communities with access to clean and safe water, the special guest at the occasion, Senator (Prof.) Oserheimen Osunbor while commissioning the boreholes stated that men of goodwill should emulate Hon. Pius Alile to give back to society for the good of all as the government may not be able to meet every need of society. Emphasizing the importance of good water, he further advised all the communities benefiting from the goodwill of Hon. Pius Alile to take the project as their project and protect it jealously so it will serve the test of time.
Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Pius Alile confirmed that he was driven by the difficulties faced by the people living in the communities he sited the boreholes to take care of the critical need for water in the different localities, thus, they were strategically sited. He assured that he is committed to the welfare of his people and that he would continue to make available infrastructures that will ameliorate the suffering of his people within his personal capacity and the capacity of his not-for-profit organization, HON. PIUS ALILE COALITION INITIATIVE.
Also at the occasion were Dr. Mary Alile and members of her group, the Sister to Sister Organization, an all-female empowerment group. Their presence at the occasion was evident as they sang and danced to the admiration of the public in support of Hon. Pius Alile’s water project to add colour to the occasion. Dr. Mary Alile promised to continue to give her husband the needed support that will be of help to mankind, especially to those in his community.
The leaders of the communities that were beneficiaries of the water projects lauded Hon. Pius Alile for providing the various communities with water. They promised that they will take responsibility for the boreholes noting that it is the only way Hon. Pius Alile would be encouraged to do more for their communities. They further thanked Senator (Prof.) Oserheimen Osunbor for making time to commission the boreholes despite his very tight schedule. The community leaders reminded him of how they gained his short stint in power while he was in government as governor of Edo State for 18 months, they pleaded with him to return and assured him of their support in the next election they further said that the people of Edo State have not seen a more humane governor like him.
They asked the Almighty God to bless Hon. Pius Alile and his family for taking away the difficulty of getting clean water for consumption and other purposes from their communities.
